It’s that time of year again when hundreds of thousands of tiny little lights come alive to help kick off the holiday season. Albuquerque’s own special start of the holiday season begins with the City of Albuquerque’s Twinkle Light Parade on Saturday, November 29 at 5:15 p.m. when dozens of floats, custom cars, marchers and more head down the two-mile route on Central Avenue to the Rio Grande Botanic Garden for a big celebration.

Albuquerque’s Twinkle Light Parade offers something for everyone, and everyone is invited to participate. From scouting troupes to churches, car clubs to marching bands, neighborhood groups to dance teams—the parade is a wonderful opportunity for people to come together to express their holiday spirit with colorful costumes, lively music, creative crafting and enthusiastic energy. The parade begins at the corner of Central Avenue and 3rd Street and ends at the Botanic Garden, where Santa will greet children of all ages, hot beverages are available for purchase, and the highly popular River of Lights will open for the season.
